Experts in hedge cutting, trimming and shaping
Hedges provide a natural home for birds and pollinating insects in many people's gardens, and a neatly trimmed hedge can dramatically enhance the beauty of your garden. However, a well-presented hedge requires regular trimming to maintain its health, and encourage rich foliage, and an aesthetic shape.
Whether you need a regular service or a one-time reduction in size or height, our staff will provide you with a highly professional and trained service that will maximise the potential of your hedges.
Scarification and Aeration
Scarification is the mechanical removal of surface thatch from a lawn. On a lawn, surface thatch develops naturally. When it becomes too thick, however, it blocks vital nutrients such as water, fertiliser, and oxygen from reaching the grassroots. The result is a mossy and spongy lawn. Following this process, the lawn can be over-seeded or given nutrients to aid recovery.
Aeration is a practice that helps to keep your soil healthy so that your lawn can flourish. It involves producing small holes in your soil by spiking or hollow twining where soil plugs are removed. This process helps in the absorption of air, water, and essential nutrients.
"Having had my hedges cut for years by a local firm, I decided to try Henry's Horticultural service.
No regrets at all. I am so impressed. Henry and his team provided a very professional service from quotation to completion. The resultant work was top notch and the standard of workmanship was very high."
